“I have to admit, I often feel that I am the luckiest person on the planet. I have such an amazing job, if I am not exploring the world myself, I’m busy putting together incredible itineraries for my customers. One thing that that I have learned on my many travels, is the incredible value of experiencing a new a place with a local. Us Kiwis are great at “doing it ourselves”, being independent, and finding our own way round, saving a few dollars in the process. However, a place is not just what you can see on your own or glean from a Lonely Planet Guidebook. Nothing beats being shown around someone’s hometown by a local, tapping their vast knowledge and hearing their incredible stories – it really brings a place to life! The quality of the shore excursions with our featured cruise lines is excellent. You will find that we try to include a selection of shore tours in our cruise holiday packages, and some lines such as Regent Seven Seas and Viking include tours in every single port of call. I am frequently astounded by the contrast of seeing a city that I think I know well, to the experience of seeing it through the eyes of a great local guide. Our team are here to assist you with choosing the best shore tours to suit your own personal interests”.

“Some people like to collect stamps or teaspoons; I like to collect memories. Many of my all-time favourite memories have been collected on cruise holidays of my own; The incredible view sailing out of Venice past all the ancient canals and church spires. Cruising the ochre cliffs with the Maltese city of Valetta perched on top. Parking right on the waterfront in Monte Carlo and surrounded by the mega-yachts of the rich and famous. The shore tour to the magnificent Portuguese royal palace perched on the lush green mountaintop of Sintra. Sitting in the family kitchen of a Majorcan Vineyard, sampling their Almonds and Wine. Exploring the gorgeous gardens of the incredible Alhambra Palace. Walking the caldera trail from Fira to Oia with the spectacular whites and blues of Santorini cascading down to the sea. The biggest advantage in my eyes of our Cruise Holiday Packages is that you too can collect amazing memories like these – without the hassles and stress of other forms of travel. Our team invest maximum effort into walking through your holiday itinerary in advance and pre-empting any problems that you may encounter. Our aim is to make your holiday stress-free or “Cruising Made Easy”.

“While I plan my own cruise holidays around the destination sitting at the top of my latest bucket list – it always amazes me, that at the end of my holiday – it is the amazing new friendships I have made, that I treasure the most! Cruising can be as quiet, or as busy, as you want to make it. Personally, I like to get out and meet people, and because of the small numbers of fellow travellers onboard the ships that we feature, you always seem to be bumping into the same friendly people time and again. At the gym in the morning, by the pool, or in one of the stunning lounges or cocktail bars. I have found that this style of travel attracts amazing people, with amazing stories to tell. The ships that we feature do not always have the most amazing Broadway style shows – but who needs that, when you can sit down to dinner each night with such interesting fellow world travellers. Every night is like the most amazing dinner party! I have a collection of lovely friends from all over the globe. From Sydney to Cape Town to Quebec to Nashville to Cornwall, some of whom have come visited me in NZ, and many who I hope to one day catch up with at their place”.

“I do enjoy going ashore, exploring exotic ports of call, but for me the highlight of my day is coming “home” to my beautiful ship. After a day out in the heat, it is a relief to be welcomed back aboard my floating boutique hotel. Greeted with a cold towel and refreshing juice, to shower and change in my comfy cabin, then the chance to relax by the pool with a good book and a delicious cocktail – that’s my idea of a perfect holiday. In fact, the occasional Day at Sea is something I look forward to, room service breakfast in bed, a peaceful Pilates session, followed by a massage and pampering at the Spa. Then a nice night out, starting with complimentary hor d’oeuvres in my own stateroom, pre-dinner drinks as the sun goes down, followed by a long slow mouth-watering meal at one of the ships glamourous restaurants. Heaven”.
